MYRIAD at Oxford

I’ve just spent a remarkable and inspiring two days at Oxford Mindfulness Centre, investigating the curriculum that will be used for teachers’ mindfulness training. Some amazing instruction from Chris Cullen and others – and even got to hear from Prof. Mark Williams, one of the “founding fathers” of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. It’s rare and humbling to be with so many deeply committed and genuinely compassionate people.

I am a qualified mindfulness teacher, specialising in mindfulness and compassion training in education. I believe that behind the hype, mindfulness practice offers people with beliefs or without, a genuine opportunity for a deeper, more heartfelt connection to our lives, just as they are, and ourselves, just as we are. It really is worthwhile.
